About CareerWow

After nearly two decades of studying the goals and needs of career-minded professionals, and creating effective career-development strategies that deliver mutually-beneficial results to employees and employers, CSG created a self-directed career-development toolkit for customized, confidential on-demand access by employees. Originally in video format, and now as a cloud-based Learning Management System, CareerWow leads users through a friendly, clear, effective career planning and implementation process, improving career satisfaction, employee performance, and company results.

On employee satisfaction surveys, employers are consistently faced with low marks from their workers for “Attention to my career development.” A 2015 Gallup research study measuring performance outcomes, productivity, and retention showed that 70 percent of Americans are not engaged or actively disengaged in their work, meaning they are emotionally disconnected from their workplaces and are less likely to be productive. Corporate leaders struggle with how to balance desired business outcomes with individual career desires of team members. CareerWow resolves this need.

Since 1996, CSG has been driven by its mission to put effective career growth tools into the hands of career-minded professionals through operation of a successful career services company. Their high-impact, career-growth concepts are delivered through one-on-one counseling, group sessions, workshops, classes, and video training. Katy Piotrowski, M.Ed., founder of Career Solutions Group, and originator of the CareerWow concept, has worked as a nationally-recognized career counselor since 1992. Katy holds a master’s degree in Counseling and Career Development from Colorado State University, and she has trained with What Color is Your Parachute author Richard Bolles, Ph.D. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Career Solutions Group (then JobWorks) was launched in 1998, and since then, Katy has built an organization that has received numerous awards from local and national entities for excellence in career development. She has helped thousands of talented, motivated professionals to get their careers on track and powering forward, through career direction, career advancement, and job search support services. Additionally, she has supported over 30,000 employees of forward-thinking organizations to improve career satisfaction, employee engagement, and performance results. She has been the author of the Fort Collins Coloradoan’s weekly On the Job column since 1994, and authored 5 books in her Career Cowards series, published by America’s largest career book publisher, JIST.
